My name is Matt. I'm a freelance illustrator and concept artist.

I've been enthusiastically waving crayons, brushes and pens for as long as I can remember. My first experience with digital art was in 1980, aged eight, when I began assembling pictures from ASCII characters on a Commodore VIC-20 and I've been working digitally ever since.

My long association with the games industry began when I first contributed art to a video game in 1988. I was employed by one of the UK's largest independent games developers for more than a decade, initially as a production artist, then as an art lead.

I've been freelance since 2007, providing illustration and concept design for print and digital media.

My favourite colour is green.
